Violet and Vassili

Violet and Vassili were our very first elopement through Elope West Coast. They chose the Taharangi experience, which includes a two-night stay at View With A Room NZ, right above the beach where they would later be married. We helped them shape their time to fit what they wanted, in a way that felt relaxed and special.

Rather than trying to fit everything into one stretch of time, Violet and Vassili brought extra outfits and we spent the morning on the beach after their first night’s stay, taking advantage of the soft, moody light to capture photos for their friends and family, both here and overseas.

That evening, we returned to the beach for the ceremony, with witnesses provided, before they headed back to the accommodation for celebratory champagne, a shared platter, and another night overlooking the spot where they said ‘I do’.

Enough with these shoes already!

They asked for photos with pōhutukawa trees to show overseas family something unique to NZ.

It's such a joy working with couples who respond to direction. 'Want to get some reflection photos on those rocks there?' 'Sure!'

Gen works closely with couples to make sure the ceremony is just right for them. This was an intimate ceremony, just how they wanted it.
